Ever. Only add work that a casting director auditioned you for and cast you for, never something you can sign up for. If you only have 1 or 2 lines then you can put “principal”

Thank you… I didn’t see that before. I went back and answered it.

Someone pointed out that I never answered this question. I didn’t realize that.

Day Player: Basically that’s a SAG term where you’re being paid for one day. That is typically a Guest Role, maybe Co-Star if you get a couple days out of it.

Principal: This is typically used in AFTRA gigs like soap operas. It’s also used for Commercials to distinguish the main commercial actor from any background extras, since a lot of times, there are no verbal lines for the Main (Principal) actor in commercials.

Hi there,

I had not thought of putting TOS before, but I like to do things that make credits sound good as good as possible. You could go with Guest Star (TOS) and I think that would be best.

Congrats on getting TOS!

Daniel, good questions.

The first two, it’s really still an extra with special business, but because you have your own shot, you could push it to go with “Featured.” You’re gray about because that is a gray area. Another option would be to just put “Recurring” for both, or Recurring Featured.

On #3, you could go with whatever your billing was, but sounds like a “Co-Star.”

4. Just like the first two, best case would be Featured.

The examples you gave are good examples of gray areas where you want to make them look as good as you can on your resume, but still be honest.

Great question…. and to be clear, these are what I would do from a marketing perspective if I were doing your resume. If an agent wants you to change it, you can always do that later.

Good luck!
