It’s a while I have audioned. Yes it does get depressing, like giving up why should I go on, my family rejected me doing this industry and now at Auditions. I just like to crawl in to bed and give up.but some strange reason it’s a learning curb, sometimes at night I cry myself to sleep, in what I am doing the next day. It’s a tough industry I think in general I am a lost cause and sometimes struggle to continue on. I was told I am a natural don’t go to school or don’t listen to others that say be fearful, get out there and audition, it’s hard to follow that dream, it does not help much by those words, I have no idea what to do. I tried a few websites and have an Imbd pro account. In helping getting represented from Australia and have casting frontier in La .its a start snd looking at the website they won’t get you work if you don’t have an agent they may offer you an audition but you have to have an agent.so I am lost what to do next it is a constant struggle.what makes it worse I have no guidance I sure do hope you can help me out here, I don’t want to step on any ones toes, but before I audition I am finding it hard to renew my passport and go over and live there and Hoping to retire there, I hate here in Australia at the moment.

Yes, Babe, it’s so true. I always tell actors to go in and be focused on doing your best. No matter what the agent or anyone else does, don’t think you know what they’re thinking. Too often an actor thinks they did great, then hear nothing… or they think they blew and then get cast. It’s crazy. The ONLY thing you really need to do is to see if you can deliver a performance/audition you are happy with — independent of what “they” think.

I have had a Director call me 6 months later and offer me a part. I have also walked out thinking I did great and never heard a word but it isn’t over yet and there is alot that can happen in the future. I just keep stirring the water and stay positive!

I sang my song and acted out my lines very well and the director seemed pretty happy with it. She clapped and told me good job but then, she handed me a script for the silly girls and told me ” Belle is a very emotional character so I want to see this side of you too.” I did very well and the director laughed and laughed (It’s a funny part). I’m really nervous that i’m going to be a silly girl instead of Belle. Is this an example of an adjustment?
