Hi Melody. I’ve rewritten my newspaper pitch a bit. I think it addresses what you said above. Now the two paragraphs read:
Opioid Game Changer:
The National Drug Court Institute has helped over one million addicts to date. It began with a failure. In 1973 a parolee with an open warrant begged me for mercy. Only police surrender was possible. Weeks later he was found floating dead in a molasses tanker car. Having lived on the “Dark Side” myself I began altering strategies gradually until 1987 when my game changing (enclosed) blueprint was published nationally by the American Probation and Parole Association. Funding followed when its Florida “copycat” met with equal success in 1989. My plan, with significant judicial improvements, operates today in 3000 US courtrooms.

Today we have a second opioid game changer. When the suffering won’t come to us we must go to them.

Hi Melody:
Have been mentioning I’m a descendant of General Custer and, oddly, friends with numerous Sioux Indians, whose ancestors killed Custer. Thus, some credibility when dealing with downtrodden and threatened Sioux in current situation. Not sure, however, how to incorporate Mid East Arabic experience – without getting tedious. All the best. OC
